A platform for green chemistry issues in the areas of research, teaching, industry and administration. This work supports the establishment of green chemistry in Austria and Europe.

Green chemistry stands for sustainable, ecologically oriented chemistry with the aim of reducing the environmental and health impact of chemical-synthetic processes. In this way, less harmful chemical products are to be produced over the entire life cycle of a chemical and the consumption of energy and resources is also to be reduced.

The service includes advice on issues relating to EU chemicals legislation, such as the substitution of chemicals of concern.
