The GDA Hazardous Substance Check, which was developed by the German Social Accident Insurance institutions as a central accompanying process of the GDA work program "Carcinogenic Hazardous Substances", is an offer to those involved in occupational safety and health, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises, to identify the hazards posed by carcinogenic hazardous substances in a forward-looking and effective manner and to take effective protective measures.

Based on nine thematically structured modules, consisting of three to five questions, the GDA Hazardous Substances Check provides support for the step-by-step implementation of the risk assessment. The support is completed by links to practice-related work aids for almost all industries. The GDA Hazardous Substance Check is available as an abridged brochure version in print, as a barrier-free PDF, and as a detailed online tool, which ensures that the results can be saved as an output report on the user's computer, at www.gda-gefahrstoff-check.de (in German).
