Organizer: Ministry of Labour, Employment and Economic Inclusion
Location: Paris, France
Date: 7 - 8 March 2022
This event is held as part of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan adopted in February 2021, and part of further work on the revision of the Directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work.
The conference also comes under the framework of the Roadmap on Carcinogens, which establishes a strengthened partnership between the signatory Member States.
The goal of the conference is to mobilise the parties concerned around the goals pursued by the roadmap:
- Creating awareness among businesses and workers on the risks of exposure to carcinogenic substances and the need for preventive actions throughout Europe;
- Helping businesses and workers prevent exposure to carcinogens in the workplace and minimise their effects;
- Mobilising stakeholders and increasing the involvement of the relevant parties to multiply efforts throughout Europe; and
- Targeting innovation to bridge the gap between research findings and businesses’ needs.
