ECHA is looking for comments on 16 applications for authorisation covering uses of:

• chromium trioxide, used in different chrome plating processes and for passivation of Electrolytic Tinplates (ETP);
• sodium dichromate, used for passivation of electrolytic tinplates; and
• bis(2-methoxyethyl) ether, used as a solvent in the manufacture of an active pharmaceutical drug.

Information about the uses applied for authorisation, including descriptions of the functions of the substances, exposure scenarios, possible alternatives identified by applicants, and socio-economic information, is available on ECHA's website.
