Follow-up report on the “Beyond Elements” event on November 6th, 2024

Per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) are used in a variety of products and industrial processes. However, the “forever chemicals” are considered harmful to health and are planned to be restricted in the EU. On November 6, 2024, industry and research presented promising alternatives (including PFAS-free membrane electrode units for fuel cells and electrolysers) at “Beyond Elements” by Materials Valley e.V., EIT RawMaterials and the Hessen Technology State.
